14 years that's how long Val and Sharon have been together. I remember Val when I was still studying at Xavier University. Sharon was my classmate in Nursing at Lourdes College. They finally decided to tie the knot and got me to cover their special moment.

why lens matters.

I had a meeting with a client yesterday and all of a sudden she asked me, what’s the opening of my lens? Not a normal question for a client to ask, since most aren't really into asking the details on a photographer’s equipment. I told her I’m using F1.8 lens, f2.8 lens. After hearing my reply, she signed the contract. She probably has a good idea on photographic equipment :) One good reason why photographers who offer wedding/debut packages should invest on fast glass. It’s expensive, hell yeah, but quality comes with a price and you can’t get that using a kit lens. Almost everyone starts with a kit lens and we know how it performs. For those planning to get hitched, please do ask your photographer about their gear, experience and most importantly their portfolio.

The Praying Mantis

I got several comments on this photo. Most of them were asking if the praying mantis was real. Thanks to Jacqy for the idea. She was the one who caught it. Honestly, I was scared to touch it. Hahaha
